Industry-leading dry hire provider Main Light has added to their stock of IP65-rated lighting with purchase of the Proteus Hybrid™, Elation’s groundbreaking multi-functional arc source moving head.

The market-leading all-weather hybrid luminaire joins Elation’s Proteus Maximus™ as new additions in Main Light’s inventory of IP65 moving heads.

Main Light is one of the largest dry-hire rental houses in the United States for lighting, special effects, and video, and services a wide range of clients in the entertainment industry, as well as the corporate and house of worship markets. “We’ve again partnered with Elation to offer our clients a cutting-edge luminaire and are excited to see the one-of-a-kind visual experiences these new fixtures will bring,” said Randy Mullican, General Manager at Main Light. “We’ve had repeated calls for a beam type IP fixture and the Proteus Hybrid does that well and much more. Tried and tested on projects around the world since 2017, the all-weather Proteus Hybrid has been a major contributor to the Proteus line’s emergence as a worldwide standard for environmental ingress protected luminaires. The Proteus Hybrid houses an advanced optical system and can easily switch between beam, spot and wash modes. Design features include full CMY and CTO color mixing, a 14-slot dichroic color wheel, 8 rotating replaceable gobos and 14 static gobos, plus a full animation wheel. The beam, zoomable in all modes, can be manipulated via multiple rotating prisms and a frost filter is included when a softer wash effect is needed.
