Main Light was proud to support students at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) by providing lighting equipment and on-site support for BOOM, a large-scale, student-driven production showcasing collaboration across CCM’s Theatre Design and Production programs.

BOOM brings together lighting, automation, projection, sound, and live performance in a series of short, music-driven pieces designed and executed by student teams from CCM’s Lighting Technology class. The project was led by Kevin Lawson, CCM’s Assistant Professor of Lighting Design and Technology, whose professional background includes decades of work in live television, broadcasts, corporate events and theatre. Under his guidance, students from across Theatre Design and Production, Acting, and Dance collaborated on a fully integrated show blending movement, design, and technology.

To help support projects of this scale, Main Light provided a substantial lighting rental package for student use. Coordinated by Pat Bellino, National Senior Business Development at Main Light, our team worked directly with students and faculty, traveling to Cincinnati despite challenging winter weather, to answer questions, share real-world insight, and see the students’ work come to life.

We were also excited to see former Main Light intern Adam Markus serve as Production Electrician for BOOM. His experience working on large-scale productions during his internship translated seamlessly to managing the complex lighting system for the project.

Supporting emerging talent is central to Main Light’s mission, and being able to show up with both equipment and experience is what makes partnerships like this meaningful.

Main Light Shines at CCM’s BOOM 2026 Student Concert 

Main Light’s Tri-State team played a key role in the 

 held January 9–11, 2026 at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, NY. The event, hosted by 

 (New York State Theatre Education Association), brought together nearly 900 high school students from across New York State for a weekend of theatre workshops, performances, and technical theater activities. The conference featured over 100 workshops led by college faculty, theatre professionals, and industry experts, covering everything from acting and voice to dance and stage tech. In addition to classes, students enjoyed live performances, including five short plays by student playwrights showcased at the conference, and even a 

 competition where tech theater teams raced to complete tasks for top honors.

Al Ridella and Jim Schoenfelder have supported the NYSTEA conference for years (15 for Ridella and 10 for Schoenfelder) and once again provided extensive technical support in 2026. They coordinated a hands-on lighting experience for students, supplying a wide range of professional gear used in modern productions. High-end fixtures such as 

 gave students the opportunity to work with real-world tools.

Main Light also brought the latest control technology, including the 

 fixtures to ensure that students gained experience using advanced platforms and lights. 

Ridella and Schoenfelder led multiple workshops throughout the weekend. Sessions ranged from Lighting 101 and hands-on moving light programming to wiring LED tape for scenic electrics and understanding lighting design paperwork. They also hosted a 

 session, where students engaged directly with working professionals to discuss career paths in the entertainment technology field. Main Light Tri-State additionally provided full lighting support for the student showcase performances, lending expertise and gear to help stage the five winning short plays written by students.

Main Light is proud to have supported the NYSTEA High School Theatre Conference again and to contribute to the development of young talent in the entertainment technology field. Ridella and Schoenfelder plan to continue their involvement, fostering connections between education and industry so that students statewide can shine under the best lights possible.

 with Andy Cohen! production, staged at Planet Hollywood’s PH Live theater in Las Vegas. The multi-day taping featured musical performances, celebrity interviews, and fan-favorite games, all filmed under tight deadlines and as-live conditions. Infinite Designs oversaw the full creative and technical execution and turned to Main Light West to supply the extensive lighting package needed to meet the scale of the venue and demands of broadcast.

 and Assistant Lighting Director Josh Selander of Infinite Designs envisioned a look that balanced Las Vegas nostalgia with the mid-century aesthetic of Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! clubhouse set. A signature lighting feature was a "string of pearls", an array of direct-view LED fixtures that outlined the set portal with dynamic color chases. The design also called for high-output LED profiles capable of illuminating talent from over 200 feet away in PH Live’s expansive auditorium. Main Light West was able to fulfill the fixture quantities required for the show with no problems.

The rig performed reliably across all five tapings, including The Bravos awards and Bravo’s Holiday Spectacular special.

 Held September 13-14at EQT Park in Washington, PA. Known for its high energy pop-punk and emo lineup, this year featured headliners like Blink-182, AFI, Jawbreaker, Jimmy Eat World, and more.

This year’s technical setup leaned heavily on versatility. The lighting design was overseen by Lighting Director Zach Calloway, who worked closely with Main Light to come up with a festival-ready package. This included all IP-rated fixtures, a specially requested Robe RoboSpot/iForte LTX follow spot package for Blink-182, and a floor package for AFI.

To achieve the bold looks required for this year’s production, Main Light’s rental included:

 to deliver stunning lighting experience on the band’s summer 2025 tour. Lotus, known for their eclectic

This season’s concerts were no exception, as Lighting Designer Scott Huston (Lotus’s LD since 2004) worked closely with Main Light to transform each venue into a dynamic, music-synchronized light show. The collaboration between Lotus and Main Light is nothing new; in fact, Main Light has been the band’s go-to lighting provider for well over a decade, dating back to early 2010. This partnership was on full display during Lotus’s recent run of summer shows, where vibrant visuals and cutting-edge gear elevated the live Lotus experience.

Lotus, known for their eclectic “jamtronica” sound blending electronic dance grooves with improvisational rock, has always placed a high value on immersive lighting at their shows.

 world premiere of “Maslow’s Peak” at The Mann Center. Choreographed by Jennifer Archibald and inspired by William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, the full‑length ballet explored themes of human nature, survival, and the struggle for order amid chaos, brought vividly to life against the open‑air backdrop of Philadelphia’s iconic venue.

“Maslow’s Peak” featured an inventive set with aerial rigging for acrobatics, dynamic movement sequences, and shifting emotional tones that demanded equally versatile lighting. Lighting Designer Drew Billiau collaborated closely with our East team to create looks that matched each chapter’s mood, ensuring smooth transitions under open‑air conditions.

Main Light East proudly provided a full lighting and atmospheric package for BalletX’s world premiere of “Maslow’s Peak” at The Mann Center. Choreographed by Jennifer Archibald and inspired by William Golding’s Lord of the Flies, the full‑length ballet explored themes of human nature, survival, and the struggle for order amid chaos, brought vividly to life against the open‑air backdrop of Philadelphia’s iconic venue.

Main Light East and Tri-State is excited to welcome the IP65-rated 

 to its rental inventory. This hybrid moving head is built for outdoor and indoor use, featuring an all-weather housing that protects against dust, rain, and haze.

Powered by 28 quad-color RGBW LEDs (45 W each), it produces 18,594 lumens of brilliant output. With a motorized 3.9°–53.8° zoom range, 12-zone pixel mapping, dual-mode control, selectable PWM up to 15 kHz, and a rugged die-cast aluminum body weighing 82.45 lb. (37.4 kg), the Storm 3 delivers exceptional flexibility and reliability for demanding live events.

Main Light Tri-State was proud to support the 2025 

, supplying an extensive range of lighting and rigging equipment for the annual celebration of excellence in the fragrance industry. The prestigious event took place on June 5, 2025, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City, and included an awards ceremony followed by an elegant dinner reception.

The Fragrance Foundation Awards recognizes creativity, innovation and achievement in the fragrance industry – bringing together brands, creators and cultural figures for this special evening.

This year’s Awards were inspired by natural ingredients – floral, citrus, and spice – shaping the look and feel of the programming. The awards presentation was divided into three visual chapters, each guided by immersive video content and complemented by a lighting design that drew on each palette’s tone and mood. Using abstract textures and dynamic movement, the lighting evoked the feeling of each chapter while enhancing the evening’s narrative arc.

For this high-profile event, Main Light provided two full equipment packages for awards producer CS Global: one for the awards ceremony inside the theater and another for the immersive dinner experience that followed on the promenade.

Reflecting the elegance of the David H. Koch Theater and the importance of the ceremony, the production team deployed a refined rig for flexibility and visual impact. Key equipment included:
