Main Light Supports LDG with Lighting Rental Package for 2024 Presidential Debate
September 20th 2024

Main Light Tri-State proudly provided the lighting rental package for The Lighting Design Group (LDG), who handled all lighting design for the 2024 Presidential Debate aired on ABC. LDG, led by Senior Lighting Designer Dennis Size, ensured the debate was visually compelling, using an extensive array of cutting-edge fixtures supplied by Main Light. The rental package included powerful equipment like ETC/High End Systems Halcyon Titanium and Lonestar, ROBE Tetra 2, and Chroma-Q Colorforce II 72, among others. This gear allowed LDG to create a precise and impactful lighting design that highlighted the candidates and enhanced the overall atmosphere of the event.

The LDG team, including Production Gaffer Jon Goss, Head Electrician Benjamin Granucci, and Programmer Max Rose, worked seamlessly to bring the lighting plan to life. The exterior lighting was managed by LDG’s Dale Knoth, while John Reynolds took charge of the Spin Room setup, ensuring every corner of the production—from the debate stage to the post-event coverage—was expertly illuminated. Main Light’s role in supplying the rental package was essential in supporting LDG’s vision and technical execution for this high-profile broadcast.
